Dominica Bianconi PT, DPT

Functional Manual Therapist

Dr. Dominica Bianconi earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Hunter College in New York City. Before becoming a Physical Therapist, Dominica studied philosophy and psychology at the University of Scranton and completed a year of service during which she served as a teacher and basketball coach in Harlem. A lifelong athlete, she has sustained several sports injuries which helped deepen her appreciation of the patient experience and foster her passion for helping others recover. As a PT, Dominica prioritizes patient education to improve each patient's understanding of their own body and to empower them to sustain improvements reached in therapy. Dominica uses the holistic, integrative, and personalized approach of Functional Manual Therapy™ from the Institute of Physical Art to discover and address the root causes of her patients’ impairments rather than only addressing their complaints. She continues to expand and hone her craft through ongoing continuing education through Herman & Wallace for Pelvic Rehabilitation and the Prague School of Rehabilitation. When she’s not in the clinic, she can be found playing basketball, snowboarding, playing guitar, or practicing PT on her cat.

Sang An PT, DPT

Functional Manual Therapist

Dr. Sanghyop An earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Long Island University in NYC. While he was living in Korea majoring in Marketing, he was very active in his spare time. While playing soccer with his peers in his early 20s, he sustained a traumatic low back injury that left him in pain for years to come. For over 10 months, walking upright wasn’t possible and standing in one position was extremely difficult due to the pain. All the doctors he met recommended a surgical procedure as the only way of treatment. At the time, he couldn’t find a right clinician who was able to address his pain and dysfunction in Korea. This is what challenged and prompted him to study Physical Therapy in the U.S., in order to understand and treat his own dysfunction. Through his studies, ongoing mentorship and experience in the Physical Therapy field, he has been able to successfully manage his once chronic low back condition conservatively. He shares his experience and expertise with other people who have struggled with chronic pain and movement-related dysfunction in order to restore hope and quality of life. He is a Certified Functional Manual Therapist through the Institute of Physical Art and continues to take courses through different paradigms. He enjoys traveling and photography in his spare time.

Giovanna

Patient Relations

Physical and mental wellness has always been part of my life in some form or another. I believe in having balance in one's life in order to achieve true happiness. I make it a point to breathe and stretch before the start of any day to prepare my mind and body for what the new day has to offer. I have been working in the healthcare field for several years and have always enjoyed creating a unique and personal experience with patients that allows them to feel seen, heard and understood. I value family and personal relationships above everything, and have a great love and respect for all animals and nature and appreciating the beauty in the little things in life that many take for granted. I enjoy nature walks, cooking, and as a long time vegetarian, finding new and interesting ways to expand my menu and palate. I have a dream of becoming a citizen of the world and exploring all of the amazing things this beautiful planet has to offer.

Taylor, CEO

Taylor has been running Equilibrium since he was adopted in May 2020. He holds multiple degrees in smelling, fetching, tail-wagging, tugging, etc. His purpose at work (and life in general) is to spread joy and laughter to all those he meets. His hobbies include, napping, going on long walks, playing fetch, and chewing on expensive leather goods. On occasion, he may visit the office (usually outside of office hours) to say “hello” to his staff and patients. His advice to his employees: “be patient, always stay curious and be alert as you never know when a kong with peanut butter may suddenly appear — you don’t ever want to miss out on that opportunity!”
