Dr. Dominica Bianconi PT, DPT
Dr. Dominica Bianconi earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Hunter College in New York City. Before becoming a Physical Therapist, Dominica studied philosophy and psychology at the University of Scranton and completed a year of service during which she served as a teacher and basketball coach in Harlem. A lifelong athlete, she has sustained several sports injuries which helped deepen her appreciation of the patient experience and foster her passion for helping others recover. As a PT, Dominica prioritizes patient education to improve each patient's understanding of their own body and to empower them to sustain improvements reached in therapy. Dominica uses the holistic, integrative, and personalized approach of Functional Manual Therapy™ from the Institute of Physical Art to discover and address the root causes of her patients’ impairments rather than only addressing their complaints. She continues to expand and hone her craft through ongoing continuing education through Herman & Wallace for Pelvic Rehabilitation and the Prague School of Rehabilitation. When she’s not in the clinic, she can be found playing basketball, snowboarding, playing guitar, or practicing PT on her cat.
